This Weeks Schedule for Kapa Haka

Tuesday

Dress Rehearsal – All tamariki will need to stay after school.

Please ensure you have the following;

1) Toilet Bag and Towel to have a shower
2) Boys – Black Briefs – (not Blue), Pounamu
3)

Girls – Pounamu

This Will Start at 7pm and be a gold coin entry. Tamariki should be ready to go by 8pm.

Wednesday

Wednesday – Homework Centre and Practice as normal. Whanau please collect your tamariki at 9pm. (Group F you are on Kai)

Wednesday Whanau Hui 6pm-8pm (The Hakiri for Saturday will be discussed at this hui)
Friday All tamariki will be required to stay after school. The Live-In will be from Fri 3.15pm to Sun 9.30am.
1) At 1pm some tamariki will be traveling to the Powhiri at Te Kura Maori O Manurewa – those tamariki attending will be given a permission slip and will need to where there Black & Whites.
2) Boys (Items you will need for Saturday)
Black and Whites (Only white shirts not Grey or any other colour, White Polo Shirts can be purchased at the Warehouse for $12.00 or at K-Mart for $15.00)
Rumaki Jacket (No other jackets are to be worn, including black jumpers)
Black Shoes
Black Briefs (again Whanau these must be black not blue
Toanga
Black Lipstick (This can be purchased at $2 Shops)
Baby Wipes or Wet Face Cloth and Plastic Bag (This is just as effective in removing your Moko)
Plastic Bag to put your Black & Whites in, for taking on the bus.
3) Girls – (Items you will need for Saturday)
Black and Whites (No black Jumpers/Vests or Cardigans)
Rumaki Jacket (No other jackets are to be worn)
Black Shoes/Sandals
As discussed on Saturday we will make a call later in the week as to whether you will be wearing stockings.
Toanga
Black Lipstick and Eyeliner
Baby Wipes or Wet Face Cloth and Plastic Bag (This is just as effective in removing your Moko)
Plastic Bag to put your Black & Whites in, so they can be packed onto the bus.
4)

Only the performers will be traveling on the bus. At this stage the bus will leave school at approx 9.45am. Our performance time is currently 11.30am.

After our performance we will be staying to watch the rest of the schools performing. If you are not performing you will need to make your own way.

5) As above the Hakiri details will be discussed at the Whanau Hui on Wednesday.

Whanau there are 3 Rumaki Jackets in stock if you need to purchase one.

Whanau could you please ensure you are aware of when your Ropu is Rostered on for Kai this week any queries you may have please contact you co-coordinator.

There is a final meeting tonight re Te Ahurea at Manurewa if anything should change e.g. performance time etc I will inform everyone tomorrow night at the dress rehearsal.

Mahi
1) A reminder to all senior students, you must be looking to hand in any overdue internal assessments now.

General Information
For those of you who are in the Te Mana ad the first one aired last night on TV
One, so keep watching they will be running for the next 3 weeks.
