Scholarship Success

Extended Greetings to our new and returning students

The department would like to acknowledge the outstanding results from 2017.  Not only did we surpass the national averages for our decile in Level 3 Art Design and Painting, but a staggering 50% of students in total gained excellence endorsed in Art Design with seven overall achieving Scholarship awards (Luke Evans, Oscar Furness-Wills, Rafael Hannah, Romily Marbrook, Luca McLean, Solomon Moores) and in Painting (Pearl Beesley).  Congratulations to TIC Art Design Kirsty Britton and a special mention to Aria Toilolo-Ite who received the highly coveted Outstanding Scholarship award for Art Design.

10Art Mural 2017

The junior classes have settled into routines, with the Y9s starting to plan their first painting and the Y10s currently preparing their work for the collaborative mural (and Level 1 credits).  The senior classes have started their first internals and are working on their self-directed themes.

Finally, a fee reminder to parents and guardians about the payment of Art and Art History fees for Y10-13.  Our ability to provide relevant EOTC opportunities, the appropriate technical and specialised resources for the year is dependent on your continued support.  Thanks in advance.
