We are delighted that Mercury Energy has donated $16,200 to kick-start our solar power installation. Now, we need your support to buy 200 state-of-the-art frameless solar panels to be mounted on the roof of the Ken Havill Centre for Learning.

This is an opportunity for your family to be a part of a 50 year plus legacy. A donation of $490 will enable the school to buy and install a panel in the name of your family or business. Depending on your budget, we encourage you to consider going in with friends or other families to ‘buy a panel’, buy one as a Christmas gift for that person who has everything, or buy a bundle of panels. Any donation amount will be gratefully received. Your gift will be acknowledged on a permanent display within the school.

In addition to enhancing our commitment to sustainability, our solar journey will provide real-time science and learning opportunities, where solar generation and savings can be tracked and studied by students.

Next year, we hope there will be sufficient support to extend our solar capability to a further 200 panels on the Whare Tapere.
