Drama – 2019 Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival – keen to participate?

Calling all students keen on a DRAMA challenge. Come and hear more about the University of Otago – Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival, 2019 for West Auckland. It is your chance to design, direct and perform in a scene of Shakespeare for the regional festival potentially to be considered and selected for the National Festival.
Come to Y5 – Tuesday 19th February – lunchtime to hear more. Put this date in your diaries!

Young Leaders Sustainability Programme

There is an opportunity for two Year 10-12 students who wish to grow their leadership. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic young people who are connected to te taiao (the Natural World) and who want take action for our environment. $5 a bottle SPF 50+ (Cancer Society). All proceeds go to school.

Junior Art – come to Art Dept. to pick up work!

Calling all junior art students and past students who have work to collect. Make your way to the Art Dept. and visit your teacher to collect Y9 art painting, print and construction activity. Y10 – art painting and cupcake sculptures. Also pick up folders if you are yet to collect.

Year 13s, You will receive a note to come to Waiora for your Careers Interview. We will try to see most yr 13s in term 1. Please email if you need to see us sooner and we will prioritise you. CHECK EVENTS on WSC SCHOOLAPP. Go to LINKS then find Careers Hub. You must attend at least 2 tertiary presentations in 2019!

PALs Programme 2019

Calling for Year 13 volunteers for the Peer Assisted Learning programme! Are you interested in giving an hour a week in terms 2 and 3 to help a younger NPoW/WSC student with their learning? If so, please call in to the Learning Centre (B block) before Friday 16th to register for PALs, or to ask any questions you may have about the programme. After this there will be a full information briefing and several training sessions, starting in week 4. We hope to see you here! – Helen, Simon and Trina
