Thanks to your generosity, so far we have funding for 136 photovoltaic solar panels. Your support has got us well on the way to achieving our goal of installing 200 solar panels at Western Springs College – Ngā Puna o Waiōrea by December, 2020.

We wanted to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge all our donors and supporters. The support we have received from a very diverse group of individuals, whanau and businesses has been very humbling.

To name just a few… our first panel was donated by long time staff members Christine Goodes and Anne McDonnell. Mercury is our cornerstone partner and has donated the inverter which will run the first 200 panels, in addition to donating a panel. The Lion Foundation has donated 20 panels and most recently we have received support from Auckland Council through the Waitematā Local Board Grants who have donated 6 panels. Jasmax (the architects of the new school), Media Design School and Auckland Futsal are a few of the businesses that have supported us. All donors will be acknowledged on a permanent display within the school.

- This is about educating our students and creating learning opportunities in renewable energy technology. Our students will know and live the benefits.
- Making a tangible difference to the carbon footprint of the school and the nation.
- Making valuable energy savings, which will go back into other educational needs.
