About the movie
Taika Waititi’s new film, Next Goal Wins, is on general release on Thursday and is a welcome return to his silly-funny, quirky roots. Much more ‘Eagle vs Shark’ than ‘Thor: Ragnarok’.
The movie tells the story of the American Samoan football team who lost to Australia by a record 31-0 in a FIFA qualifying match. A touching, hilarious story of the underdog achieving if not greatness then a slight improvement.
