2023 year-end THANKS from WSCW staff

Every year, our WSCW staff are grateful for some of our wonderful community members who provide treats, gifts or services to us without wanting any acknowledgement in return. However, we would like to acknowledge a few groups of people were very generous to our staff in 2023:

1. The Parents’ Action Group (PAG)

Thanks to PAG for organising the Movie Night fundraiser (Taika Waititi’s “Next Goal Wins”) & the staff Christmas lunch – it’s always greatly appreciated by our staff!

PAG is made up of a group of parents who work together to support our school and strengthen the school community. PAG is open to all parents of students at Western Springs College and new members are always very welcome – all you need to do is email pag@wsc.school.nz

2. Zoë & Morgan

A very special thanks to Zoë Williams (co-founder of top New Zealand jewellery designer company, Zoë & Morgan) and her team for making & kindly gifting each WSCW staff member with a piece of their beautiful jewellery collection at a special morning tea on December 7th, 2023. Our staff were very excited to receive such a special gift leading up to the Christmas holidays!

Ngā mihi nui to Zoë and all the team of Zoë & Morgan!

3. Whānau who provided scones for our staff Christmas morning tea

Our Canteen Manager (Vinnie) and his assistant (Satomi) make the most delicious scones for our WSCW staff – they always disappear very quickly!! At the special staff morning tea on December 7th, we had kind whānau provide Vinnie & Satomi’s famous scones for our staff – which they enjoyed at the same time as they received their generous gift from Zoë & Morgan.

So we also offer a special thank you to the whānau who provided this second pre-Christmas treat!!

4. Other parents/families/whānau who have sent in messages of support for our staff during the 2023 school year!

Ngā mihi nui ki a koe/Huge gratitude to you all!
