Wastewise Clothing Recycle

Tuesday the 26th of March was our first clothing recycle for 2024 in Te Whakamanu. It is run by our fabulous Waste Wise team and teacher in charge Marie Hickey. We collect preloved clothes, shoes and accessories donated by WSCW school students and their families that they no longer want/need.

Our donation box is in the office foyer, we are always happy to receive more clothes!

It is a great event to show WSCW students the importance of buying second hand, recycling and reusing clothes that are still in good condition and reducing our purchase of fast fashion items. We plan to sort through the remaining items and donate them to goodwill and other stores. We were very successful and got rid of about three boxes of clothing, shoes and accessories!
