Tristram Pearson – Photographer

Tristram Pearson (Year 13) is rapidly becoming the photographer of choice for a number of sports teams including A league teams Blues & Auckland FC. He also photographs Balls and private events.

Tristram started taking sports and events photos when he was 16 years old and over the last year has built an impressive portfolio of his work. He started by taking photos on the weekends for fun. Through contacts at Western Springs Football club he secured his first paid work at the end of last year. What started as a passion project has blossomed into a thriving business.

When Auckland FC won the A league competition in Auckland recently, Tristram was there capturing moments from their ground-breaking win.  You can see one of the photos from that game below, which in typical Tristan style captures the high emotion of that moment.

Tristram feels lucky to be doing what he loves and intends to make it his career after he leaves school. His parents have been a great support, encouraging him at every point. To others wanting to start a business he is enthusiastic and supportive ‘Do it! Pursue your passion’
