Daequan Su achieves personal bests at Oceania Athletics Champs – Western Springs College

Congratulations to our Year 13 student, Daequan Su, on his successes representing New Zealand (NZ) at the Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin, Australia.

Daequan really enjoyed his 9-day trip overseas, and the experience of competing at a high level of athletics as an Under 18 NZ representative. He is very pleased with his achievements and personal best performances (PBs; see below):

Long Jump – 3rd place, Bronze medal with 6m 67 (PB);
110m Hurdles – 5th place with 14.78 (PB).

After a long and challenging season, these achievements are a reflection of all the hard work, commitment, and dedication that Daequan has consistently put into his training and performances.

It was a very proud moment for his parents, and the family would like to thank everyone who has supported and encouraged Daequan. We look forward to seeing his continued success in the future.
