2026 General Election – reminder to enrol & vote

The 2026 General Election will be held on Saturday 7 November 2026.

To vote in a general election you need to be enrolled by midnight, 13 days before Election Day.

For the 2026 General Election this means you can’t enrol or update your details after midnight, 25 October 2026.

If a 17 year old is going to turn 18 between the deadline to enrol and election day, they can make an application to enrol prior to turning 18. Once the person turns 18, their enrolment to vote is activated and they will be eligible to vote.
