Career Expos

Many thanks if you attended our school Careers Expo last week. There was a real buzz of conversation when the students meandered through the exhibits.

If you missed the school Expo then I  recommend the Auckland Career Expo on 23-25 May where there will be a wider range of exhibitors, especially from trades and universities. Full details are here.

The TradeUp Collective Visit  Friday 24 at 1pm Hall

There are numerous Careers Events coming up over the next 2-3 months listed here.  

We have a first visit to WSC NPoW from The TradeUp Collective on Friday May 24 1 pm in our hall.  You may recognise Logan Dodds of Instagram and plumbing fame in the preview videos here. Come and here from Logan Dodds promoting the Trades (sponsored by Plumbing World). Spot prizes! This presentation should be fun!

Year 12 Careers Programme has started with students working with Career Central and the WSC Careers Hub to access the information needed for career planning and viewing information about scholarships, studylink, and fees free.  There are plenty of Quizzes and the booklet student are working through is here.

Year 13 Students

Margaret Ruland and I have met with most Year 13 students to discuss their possible plans for 2020. However, there are still about 80 students we are yet to meet.  If you want your son/ daughter seen by us urgently then please email wallacek@wsc.school.nz
