In light of the recent tragic events in Christchurch, we have set up some additional supports in school.  Anyone who is distressed can talk through their feelings with our counselling staff in Waiora. We have also set aside a prayer room for our Islamic school community so that if they wish to pray they are free to do so.  (Especially important after mosques have been shut here in Auckland.) We have also set aside an additional space for people of any faith who need time to reflect, contemplate and pray or just be still.

This has impacted many of our students and we are very sad to hear that two of our families have lost relatives in this tragedy.  We are looking at practical ways that our school can support these families and the local mosque.
