40 Hour Famine

Western Springs College / Ngā Puna O Waiōrea participated in the 40 Hour Famine this year to raise money for refugee children from South Sudan. Conflict, famine and drought have led thousands of South Sudanese children to flee their homes, many without their parents.

This year Western Springs College managed to raise two thousand, four hundred and sixteen dollars ($2416). What a wonderful effort. The money we have raised will have a significant, positive effect on the lives of the South Sudanese children by ensuring that they have access to nutritious food, clean water, safe toilets, a place to live, and education and play in child-friendly spaces.

Thank you to everyone that participated and sponsored the 40 Hour Famine this year.  Everyone’s contributions will make a big difference.  See you next year!
