EPro8 Engineering Challenge

We are very proud of the students who put themselves forward to take part in the EPro8 Engineering Challenge this term.  Two junior teams, Ngā kōwhai & Ngā mānuka, made it through to the semi-finals, and our senior team (Ngā kahikatea are) in the finals.

Please come along to the finals, here in the hall at Waiōrea / Springs on Tuesday, April 30th. It is specifically designed to be a spectator friendly event, and you don’t need to come at the start or stay the whole time. The challenges are all large scale and visually stunning, and the scoring is live.

A big thank you to Logan O’Callahan who worked with & orgasnised transport for these keen students.

Learning at the zoo

Our year 9 students have all visited the zoo this term to learn about the unique biodiversity & taonga of Aotearoa. They have been taking action at school and at home, as a result of these visits. The photos here are examples how we have been gathering data within the school grounds – with chew cards & tracker tunnels.
