Te Ahurea Tino Rangatiratanga is a significant Māori Performing Arts event for Auckland Secondary Schools.…
Early in term 3 the Life Skills class from Learning Support was invited to take part in some regenerative native tree planting by Waitītiko stream which runs between Western Springs College Ngā Puna O Waiōrea and Pasadena Intermediate. We created a mural showing some of our native birds and trees based on our field trip. Each student chose a tree and a bird and creatively represented them.
We hung the 2 metre long mural in the administration building where all students, staff and visitors can now enjoy the creative mural that the students thoroughly enjoyed creating. We would like to thank the Technology Department for the huge piece of paper and their support with outlining the birds and trees (AndrewTan).
