The Social Studies/Tikanga ā-Iwi department would like to invite you all to our Annual…
Congratulations to our Year 13 student Charli Dunn who was selected in the Auckland Under 17s Girls Cricket team to play in a National Tournament in Palmerston North in mid-January, with Charli and her team being crowned National Champions!
In their first game against Northern Districts (8/111 after 30 overs), Auckland beat them by 6 wickets (4/112 after 21.1 overs), with Charli scoring 44 runs with the bat. Two more wins followed on day 2 (by 22 runs vs Wellington) and on day 3 (by 24 runs vs Central Districts). Despite losing to Central Districts U17s on day 4 (who won by 1 wicket), Auckland played Otago U17s for top spot – winning by 5 wickets!
Congratulations on your success, Charli! We look forward to following your progress across the year.
In 2023, Charli was a joint winner of the Year 12 Sportswoman of the Year for Western Springs College-Ngā Puna o Waiōrea.
