Documentary Award Success

Congratulations to  Pierre Donsimoni! Pierre’s Year 13 Media Studies documentary ‘The Last Lap’ has won Best Documentary in the OnScreen Nationwide Youth Film Competition. ‘The Last Lap’ is about a topical local issue – the closure of the Western Springs Speedway & its history over the last 100 years.

Judge Damian Christie had this to say about Pierre’s film;  ‘A beautifully made documentary’..all the elements tick the boxes, the sound design, the graphics, the interviews’..’it made for a really compelling watch on an important issue’.
