WSC-NPoW School Board – 2026 changes

Kia ora to all our Springs-Waiōrea community,

This is just a brief update to advise that at the first Board hui for 2026, held on Monday 23rd February, the Board elected by consensus that Alicia Murray would be our Presiding Member and Co-Chair from WSC, and Matua Brent Reihana would be our Co-Chair for NPoW. Both Alicia and Brent will hold these positions for the 2026 school year.

Our previous NPoW Co-Chair, Matua Tamati Patuwai, will remain as a co-opted Board member until the September 2026 election cycle.

We would also like to thank our previous Presiding Member & WSC Co-Chair, Louise Gardiner, for her service and extensive mahi for the WSC-NPoW School Board since she was first elected as a parent representative for WSC in December 2020. Louise has stepped down for personal/whānau commitments. The Board has chosen to hold Louise’s position as the WSC parent representative vacant until the September 2026 election cycle.
