Huge congratulations to Avery Beuth (Year 12) who was formally presented with his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award at the awards ceremony in Auckland recently.

This prestigious accomplishment represents almost 2 and half years of dedication involving volunteer work (including Surf Lifesaving NZ and Keep NZ Beautiful), physical recreation, skill development, 3 adventurous journeys (including sea kayak trips around Mahurangi, Motuora Island and the Bay of Islands), and a residential project.

He commenced his Bronze award in year 9 and has worked diligently and committedly each week, completing his Gold award with an 8 day Outward Bound course in Anakiwa in December 2025 at the end of year 11 making him one of the youngest award recipients.

This is a remarkable achievement that reflects great resilience, leadership, and commitment – well done Avery!
