Scooter accidents – talk to your scooter riders

Scooter accidents are occurring at an alarming frequency.  The nursing team are seeing students with injuries on weekly basis, including a student walking to school who sustained a severe injury after being knocked over by someone on an eScooter.  PLEASE talk to your scooter riders about riding safely, wearing a helmet, following the road rules and being aware of other vehicles on the road.  Wearing headphones or earbuds does reduce awareness.
