Tēnā koutou katoa,
As the last bell of the year rings on what has been a truly remarkable and memorable school year, I write to you all with immense warmth and gratitude.
The year 2025 has been, as we often describe it, a “jam-packed” adventure. We have celebrated incredible highs—from stunning academic achievements and sporting triumphs to beautiful performances and community service initiatives that showcased the heart of our students. We have also faced challenges and lows, as all years do. However, every single moment, whether easy or difficult, has been treated as a vital learning opportunity, forging resilience and character in our young people and our staff.
Our senior students have already stepped into their well-deserved summer break, and we hope they are enjoying a restorative and celebratory start to the summer. Whether their next step is university, trade, training, or travel, we wish them the absolute best and look forward to hearing about their future successes. They will always be a part of our school whānau. An invitation is extended to you all to pop in and visit us in 2026.
To our junior students, we wish you a truly fabulous and safe Kiwi summer! We encourage you to embrace the sunshine, spend time with loved ones, read a few good books, and simply relax. Recharge your batteries—we look forward to seeing your energised faces return in the new year.
For the families and students who are travelling overseas or heading away from our local community for the holidays, we wish you a heartfelt ‘bon voyage‘ and a safe journey back home or to your destination. We look forward to welcoming you back safely in 2026.
Mere Kirihimete,
Ivan Davis
