In week 2 the Year 13 Food Technology class visited Milse Desert Bar in Britomart as an introduction to their next assessment for deconstructed desserts. We were presented by their 2 best chefs who explained their top tips about plating and the students then had their own competition for the best plated brownie. The students absolutely loved the experience; they tasted some delicious and beautifully presented desserts from the cabinet and had the opportunity for 1:1 questioning with the chefs.
We also had positive feedback from Milse saying our students were very polite and respectful and they were so pleased with the effort and excitement our students put into the plating competition.
